16.04.2007: 1520 LT: Egypt mooring buoy, Port Said, Suez Canal, Egypt. Robbers boarded a general cargo ship, using a hook ladder from a mooring boat, while the crew was busy in mooring operations at the mooring buoy. The robbers lowered the gangway for their colleagues to board the ship easily. Two robbers entered the accommodation while the others looked for stores to rob on deck. Due to the crew vigilance the robbers were spotted and chased away. Nothing was stolen. Agents were informed but no action taken.
