Hi Manos
neutralizing water is simply not possible, the water must be seperated by an automatic filter and seperator system. For an 100 PS Outboarder it costs in Germany around 30 to 35 EUR and has the additional effect that the dirt (which stick's to the water drops) is filtered in addition. These system are different if you need it for petrol or gasoil Engines but it works for both |

Thanks for the info robart
![]() In Greece they sell this liquid for 15 euros and they say that it naturalises water. I know about the filter bit when in 100 liters if fuel 30 can be water the filter is not adequate. The situation in Greece with water in the fuel recently has become very bad in certain petrol stations ![]() |

Hi Manos,
like to confirm Roland (Rotbart) this fuelline cleaner is just what it says, but helps only little and no use to kill water in fuel. Kindly ask your Engine-Service to install a separatorfilter in the fuel line to the engine. The best way to kill water in the fuel inside the tank, ist to pumpout the petrol and clean the tank. Any service know how to do it. |

Zitat:
this will not work, because Manos told us that the water comes from the gas station by refuelling the boat and than it makes not much sense to pump it out again ! ![]() No the only way is a separator! |

Zitat:
Therefore Manos will be strongly recommended to ask the service, to also clean the tank whilest they are installing the separator. It's really a sheet with the fuelstations always manipulating the fuel quality, or not making the necessary service of their fueltanks eliminating condensed water at the ground of the tanks. All onearth fueltanks have similar problems due to the alteration of athmosphere temparature. |

Thanks guys the info much appreciated.
The problem is not for now but in the future If something like this happens. I have a super funnel with micro filters and also a fuel wtaer separator by RACOR on the boat. I thought that this liquid may had been useful. As you say is not. So will not spend any money on it. Thanks again and have a VERY GOOD CHRISTMAS! ![]() ![]() |

Hi Manos,
congratulation to the RACOR Water-Filter, is one of the best made in USA. All my MAN trucks delivered to Africa in the eighties were equipped with these. Later in the nineties, we could find a geman manufacturer with a similar product also heatable and with heatable fuelpipes for the extremly cold countries, so we could complete the trucks going to Russia with adequate equipment (SEPAR). Ich denke Mnaos hat Benzin-Motore, aber was soll da alkohol bewirken ?????? ------------------ To Manos I can't see which effect spirit should have, especialy because you have ( I presume) petrol engines ? |

Please Manos,
maybe Willies is making a joke with adding spirit to the fuel, but speaking seriously it makes no sense. If you are using diesel-fuel in cold countries with temperatures below zero you can add a certain percentage of gasoline to keep the diesel fluid. But in your case with petrol engines, you can only add spirit, if the engines have the addaptation for fuel mixed gasoline with spirit (alcohol). In BRASIL they have an extra fuel mixture gasoline&alcohol at the petrolstations, but this fuel can only be used by cars with specially prepared engines. The consumption increases by about 10-15 percent, because the efficiency is less. The use of such fuel has agri-production reasons. Here in Europe it makes no sense. Only the alternative to diesel fuel is a bio-diesel, but you also need specially prepared engines. And the actually common-rail diesel engines are to sensible for such bio-diesel. |
