Yes Martin, something like that.

You see the V-hull has a tendency even when the boat is on the plane to be in the water rather than out as hulls such as RIB EYE, SPORT RIB, SCORPION, my Falcon etc.

Just to illustrate the angle of the FALCON hull at the transom is 18 deg. rather than 21 or 24. That means that when the boat is on the plane all the hull comes out of the water with the chines either side assisting and just about 0.50 mtrs aft is in the water. Therefore, less forces apply on the hull and is less bumpy than a V-hull.

On the AVON hull when on the plane the boat comes out of the water but a large proportion of the hull is in and therefore more the forces apply on the hull and gets a bit more bumpy.

I wish I had a photo to show you. But I hope what I say makes sense.

All these points I am trying to make is just out of experience as I am not a technical expert. So if any one knows better please advise if I am wrong.
